Chimneys are small – but Santa’s tummy is not

Because meat, eggs, and dairy foods are laden with cholesterol and saturated fat, meat-eaters are nine times more likely to be overweight than vegans are. Fortunately, once Santa replaces artery-clogging animal-derived meals with fruits, veggies, and grains, he’ll find it far easier to shed that jelly-belly – and there’s less chance he’ll get stuck in an embarrassing situation.

He can’t take a sick day

Fact: pulling a sickie on Christmas Eve isn’t an option for Saint Nick. And since consuming meat, milk, cheese, and other animal-derived foods has been linked to an increased risk of developing heart disease, strokes, diabetes, and cancer, the best thing he can do to stay in tip-top shape is make the switch to a plant-based diet.

    Save his home

The ice at the North Pole is melting, so stopping climate change is no doubt a major concern for Santa – as it should be for the rest of the human race. The United Nations says the best way for us to do that is to move towards eating a vegan diet. Because animal agriculture is a leading emitter of greenhouse gases and responsible for water depletion, soil erosion, and other environmental problems.

    He’s irreplaceable

OK, so no one knows whether Santa is a mere mortal like the rest of us. But if he is, studies have shown that, on average, veggie men live longer than their meat-eating counterparts. No more meat and cheese might help Santa shift that belly .

Eating an animal’s corpse is not in keeping with the festive spirit

Christmas is meant to be a time of peace and goodwill to all – and Santa can embrace compassion by leaving animals off his plate.

    He wouldn’t eat Rudolph

It’s time the big guy stopped holding double standards. Why love your reindeer (or dog) but eat the flesh of a cow?

    Change a new boots

Those leather boots have got to go Vegan-friendly fabrics have come a long way. You can now buy durable shoes made from cork, pineapple leaves, recycled plastic bottles, or microfibre that look and breathe like leather but last longer, repel water, and don’t cost cows, sheep, or other animals their lives.
